Every Aventis home meets FEMA requirements for coastal construction: finished floor set above Base Flood Elevation, flood-resistant materials below the flood line, mechanical systems placed above elevation, and full compliance documentation. Elevation certificates support insurance rating, and the records package transfers at resale.

Steel-reinforced concrete resists hurricane wind load substantially better than wood framing and does not degrade under salt air exposure the way framed structures do. Thermal mass reduces cooling load in this climate. Combined with elevated piling foundations and impact-rated windows, it produces a structure engineered for barrier island conditions. Reinforced CMU is used where the design calls for it — both methods are standard in our work.

We build reinforced concrete shell homes on elevated piling foundations. Steel framing is not part of our construction method. Concrete performs better against wind load and salt air on barrier island sites, and its thermal mass reduces cooling load year-round. Sustainability is handled through the envelope: energy modeling, spray foam insulation, impact-resistant low-E glazing, HVAC sized for coastal humidity, solar-ready electrical, and water-saving fixtures.

Yes. Most of our clients own their Gulf-front or Intracoastal lot before contacting us. We also build on lots we have available. Either way, site analysis comes first: elevation, Base Flood Elevation, setbacks, access, and buildable footprint.
